The Vanilla (Joy) Dining chairs are modern fun expressionsof new open weaving. Inspired by the bird’s nest perched on top of the trees, the twigs forming chaotic criss-cross and zig zags. This Bird Nest weavingstyle uses a single fiber which is continuously woven onto each panel of theframe, thus recreating a modern abstract art form, comfortable to sit, loungeand nest. Although the weave looks randomly placed, the challenge for us wasthe ability to meticulously create identical weaving on every piece.
The leaf weave, tall grass and bird’s nest are justa few to name of. Weave it wide or narrow, two-toned, monochrome or burst ofstrong vibrant colors, the options are endless for this versatile chair. Thechallenge is the ability to recreate an identical weaving on every piece offurniture. The design is in itself an expression of fun simplicity yetfunctional.
The concept behind our Collection is toenable our furniture to be woven in new innovative weaving styles in a varietyof color and fiber sizes, to create infinite possibilities. “All products that have won an award in the red dotdesign award had to convince an international expert jury of their quality. Theproducts stand out from the masses with their excellent design and innovativeapproaches and proved their quality in one of the toughest design competitionsworldwide,” explains design expert Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of thered dot design award.
